We are SUPER EXCITED to host a pop-up by Ippo Ramen this First Friday 4/5. Proprietor Steve Yee will be here starting at 6pm, ready to cook up some noodles to serve you his ramen. His simple menu consists of three choices: shoyu, miso and shio (salt) broths. He makes everything except the noodles by hand, and spent over a year perfecting his broths and a long while on the egg and chashu. There is indeed religion in that egg!
But of course the love is in the broth. We’ve tried the miso and shio, both which are delicious. The miso is a darker variation, with bright miso flavors. The shio is our favorite, with its surprisingly creamy, yet delicate texture and taste.
Steve’s hope is that you’ll try more than one broth. The bowl is smaller, and at $5, you can certainly try all three. But it’s first-come first-served, so you better come out early to get your share!
