This umeshu (plum liqueur) starts with the popular Hitachino White Ale, that is then distilled. Ume is then added to infuse, to make this umeshu tart, mellow, and slightly hoppy. It's one of a kind!
Since 1996, Kiuchi Brewery, originally a producer of sake, started brewing their own line of fermented ales. They combine the meticulous practices of sake brewing and curious ingredients in their beers. Hoot-hoot!!!
