Nankai shochu is vacuum distilled, which preserves the flavors of its raw ingredient, kokuto (black sugar from Amami Island). The result is a full-flavored, smooth shochu that is reminiscent of a light rum. Great chilled, neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail.
