Sake and Shochu Gumi

This is summer in a glass! Anytime you want to relive the summer by the pool, pop a bottle of this vibrant junmai that is bursting with watermelon. Serve crisp to enjoy fruit aromas, or at room temperature to experience a more umami-driven experience that highlights the flavor of the rice.

Takeda Shuzo is located in the coastal fishing village of Joetsu in Niigata. Seizaemon Takeda started brewing in Kamiko Funatsu, a small fishing boat moorage, at the end of the Edo Period (1866). In 1990, Shigenori Takeda was appointed the current director and he is now joined by his son Haruki. They have only two other brewery workers.
