Produced only once a year, this limited edition muroka (no charcoal filtration) shochu is made with a sweet potato variety called ayamurasaki.
Nishi Shuzo is famous for using only the finest in local sweet potatoes, and these rich, purple ayamurasaki are no exception. They produce a luscious, velvety shochu with layers of decadent of cream, cookies, and a satisfying earthiness. The high alcohol content allows for flexibility when mixing, or diluting. A late-night mizuwari preparation revealed notes of tiramisu. A truly special and unique shochu.
