Holiday Gift Guide

Who needs a Brita filter? Not us! We use these Binchotan Charcoal sticks to purify our tap water.

Binchotan is Japanese charcoal made from a type of oak called ubame. For centuries, it has been used for cooking in Japan, but also for purifying water, as it pulls impurities in to make water soft and improving taste. Just place these directly in your water pitcher and you'll notice the difference in flavor right away! Once a month, boil the sticks for 10 minutes to revitalize the charcoal.
