Master craftsman Nobuho Miya designs and creates kitchen and homewares with nanbu tekki (iron from Iwate Prefecture) using traditional techniques that highlight the natural beauty of iron. Miya-san comes from a family of master nanbu tekki crafters, and continues the tradition as a third generation craftsman. We love the modern geometric shape of this trivet, which fuses contemporary design with rustic material. Its weightiness and deep black color is pleasing to the touch and the eyes. Use this trivet to protect your table or countertops from hot pots and pans, Dutch ovens, or kettles.
