In 1973, a group of sake brewers broke away from bigger breweries to establish Ichinokura, to make a sake that wasn’t recognized by the government (and therefore not taxed).
Aged in cedar barrels, this refreshing sakes has notes of mint and spice. Engulf yourself in the woodsy aroma of this sake after a bath. This sake shines alongside smoked meats and cheeses. Great chilled in the summer, and warm in the winter.
Ichinokura was established by four breweries, each of which had a 70 to 300 year history. Also known as Ace Brewery, Ichinokura was named to express their wish to become the number one micro brewery.
