Ichiro Akuto founded Chichibu distillery in 2008 and has become a leader in whisky-making world-wide. Located in the forests of Saitama (Kayoko’s birthplace!), Chichibu makes their whiskies in small batches using locally grown barley. Founder Ichiro Akuto calls this an "All World Whisky" with notes of apricot, toffee, and gingerbread.
