Behold, a fish sauce made in California – low in sodium, high in umami, and absolutely no artificial ingredients! Made with koji (a mold grown on rice that is used to make soy sauce, miso, sake, and shochu), this fish sauce is earthy, savory, and full of umami. Add it to stir-fries, pasta sauces, and soups for an extra layer of complexity and rounded flavors. Watch out, this sauce is addicting!
Founder Joe Phan has spent four years perfecting his family formula of making fish sauce the traditional way: free of chemicals, artificial coloring, artificial flavors and NO dilutions. California Fish Sauce uses all local ingredients of anchovies from the Monterey Bay, natural sea salt harvested in San Francisco Bay by Cargill Salt, and koji made in the Bay Area.
