True to its name, 楽 raku (playful), this sake is indeed a cinch. Light, bright, soft, yet crisp. It's everything you want a nama (unpasteurized) sake to be; blueberry, lemon, and ramune on the nose, with sparkling lemon-lime on the palate, great minerality, and white peach on the finish. This is highly crushable and would perfect on a hot day with oysters or ceviche!
Ever the terroir nuts, Shiga's Matsuse Shuzo uses their Matsu No Tsukasa brand to showcase soil types, rice varieties, and the myriad other resources they have at their disposal to create high quality brews that are as fun to geek out on as they are to drink.
