Before Honke Matsuura was a sake brewery, it was run by a group of ex-pirates in 1804! Thankfully for all sake lovers worldwide, the team pivoted to brewing in Naruto City in Tokushima Prefecture (hence the product name "Narutotai" [-tai meaning sea bream, a famous fish in the city]).
