Created to deliver full flavors and richness of whisky "from barrels" which only blenders can sniff and taste. Aged in used casks for 3-6 months. Full of winter spice, toffee, and oh so many fruit notes including berries and orange.
Nikka was founded in Hokkaido in 1934 after Masataka Taketsuru spent time in Scotland to learn the art of making whisky. Migakigyo distillery is Nikka’s second distillery in Sendai built in 1969.
