Sake and Shochu Gumi

One of the first new releases to hit the U.S. since the Apple Brandy Finish series, this is a surprising new twist on everyone's longtime favorite sherry bomb, Miyagikyo. A touch of peat in this whisky provides bright and salty notes to balance out the sultry, oily, and red-fruit laden profile of Miyagikyo while still maintaining its balance. This dram is a long anticipated release from Nikka, rich in notes of cream, juicy grilled fruit, raisin, and honeycomb. We're so excited to be sharing it with you! 

Nikka was founded close to the sea in Hokkaido in 1934 after Masataka Taketsuru spent time in Scotland to learn the art of making whisky. Miyagikyo distillery is Nikka’s second distillery in Sendai built in 1969.
