Foo Fighters fans are feeling fancy-fresh! The long-anticipated collaboration between the legendary alternative rock band and Tatenokawa Brewery, darling of the Yamagata sake scene, has finally arrived. In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the band's 10th release, Medicine at Midnight, this is a two-part release (the sake version of a double LP), both brewed to the tunes of the Foo Fighters.

Well-known for their sake collaboration with the French band Phoenix, Tatenokawa is from Yamagata prefecture, a region which recently achieved GI (geographic indication) status for their regional sake brewing. Sato Junpei is their 6th generation toji (master brewer) and loves his rock music, especially Foo Fighters! Incidentally, our co-founder Kayoko is also a huge Dave Grohl fan and we can't wait to host them at our next Matsuri.

We've got another confession to make: There's another Foo Fighters sake available! Part of a two-part release, Hansho Ao Midnight Blue expresses more tender, fruity, and slightly sweet, mirroring the pop side of the Foo Fighters' oeuvre.

The only thing we ever ask of you, is you gotta promise to enjoy this limited sake release when we say when.
