Ichiro's Malt Chichibu 2 Single Malt Japanese Whisky (BTL 700ml)

The first release from Chichibu's second distillery in Saitama, not too far from their chief distillery. With bigger stills and aging facilities they strive to meet the same standards of quality while giving us more of the great whisky. This one has a bit of smoke on it with notes of light BBQ, grapefruit, stewed peaches and milk chocolate on the nose. The palate is smoky and sweet with the same peach preserves, bbq smoke, and a little bit of clove.

Ichiro Akuto founded Chichibu distillery in 2008 and has become a leader in whisky-making world-wide. Located in the forests of Saitama (Kayoko’s birthplace!), Chichibu makes their whiskies in small batches using locally grown barley and is the only distillery using mizunara washbacks.
