Sake and Shochu Gumi

Welcome our California Umeshu! For the past two years, we've been working on this with Pekut & Carwick in Berkeley and it's finally being released. While we've been dying to share it with you, we felt it wasn't quite ready... until now!

Featuring a bright label design by Yoko that celebrates the Bungo ume harvested in San Bernadino County, this umeshu is made with biodynamic brandy from California grapes, then rested in stainless steel tanks for two years.

For this umeshu, we dialed up the proof because we love umeshu on-the-rocks and as a highball, and held back on the sugar to bring out the complexity of the fruit – which features aromas of peach skin and flavors of tart apricot and prune.

Join us at our bar to try this newly released bottle on Black Friday! Sip, shop, and unwind after your Thanksgiving feast. If friends and family are in town, bring them to have them taste the agricultural bounty of California.

But wait! This California Umeshu bounty is limited to just 48 bottles – please come out for this special event to get a bottle for yourself.
