Sake and Shochu Gumi

Reina Mori, Kagoshima shochu legend and chef-owner of the Tenmonkan neighborhood's Izakaya 017 Yokaban will be stateside for the first time ever on a frenzied tour sharing her shochu and culinary prowess in the U.S. of A!

We're thrilled to be able to host her at our cozy little bar and help to approximate the ambience of Reina's spectacular and friendly izakaya. Yokaban means "a good evening" in local Kyushu dialect, and we are expecting just that! We'll have a few signature Kagoshima dishes prepared by Reina, plenty of shochu, and nanko tournaments (iykyk).

Reina's energy is vibrant, jubilant, and infectious. If you like that kind of thing, (don't walk) run to our bar on Friday, May 26th!
