Meet the Brewery: Shirataki Shuzo

We are honored to welcome Shirataki Shuzo from Niigata, Japan whose sakes we've always enjoyed carrying on our shelves and featured in Sake Gumi throughout the years. Takaki Matsumoto (Toji/Brewmaster) and Daijiro Hosaka (Export Manager) from the brewery will be joining us at the bar to introduce their latest baby, the limited edition Seven Junmai Daiginjo which Shirataki Shuzo describes as "Our current toji’s exploration of his past. At 29 years old, he strives to bring refreshed standards to the world of sake. Everything’s better with a little funk."
We'll be tasting through the following sakes: Jozen Sparkling, Jozen Junmai Ginjo Nigori, Uonuma Noujun Junmai, and their newest release, Seven Junmai Daiginjo.
