Sake and Shochu Gumi

Finished in sherry casks and less peaty than Yoichi Single Malt. This single malt has notes of toasted nuts, caramel, dried berries on the nose. On the palate marzipan, caramel, dried fruit, cinnamon, pears, apples, and black pepper! An excellent sipper neat or with a single rock to open those lovely notes of fruit and spice!

Nikka was founded close to the sea in Hokkaido in 1934 after Masataka Taketsuru spent time in Scotland to learn the art of making whisky. Miyagikyo distillery is Nikka’s second distillery in Sendai built in 1969.
