Sake and Shochu Gumi

We pride ourselves on our ability to snack with abandon; running a shop all day sure can take it out of you, so we're always on the lookout for the right combination of flavor, substance, and (most importantly) crunch. Packed with organic sesame seeds, maple syrup, locally foraged konbu, and a snappy twist of ginger and cayenne, these biscuit-like nibbles are satisfying, not-too-sweet, and have significant crunch factor, making these some of the more gratifying treats we've encountered in some time. 

Since 1981, Larry Knowles has been harvesting seaweed by hand in Mendocino on the northern west coast for Rising Tide Sea Vegetables. Harvesting from a region with the coldest and cleanest waters means that the seaweed is nutritious and packed with flavor. We love that the business has been Larry's passion and allows him to be in touch with the ocean that is so close to our home. Our good friend Nathan joins Larry in the ocean for weekly harvests, making these treasures even closer to our hearts.
