Sequoia Nama Junmai Ginjo Sake (BTL 375ml)
Jake Myrick and Noriko Kamei started Sequoia Sake in San Francisco in 2015, and they specialize in namas (unpasteurized sakes). Lucky for us, these namas get delivered fresh as they get hand-delivered from right across the Bay. Sequoia Genshu is lively, fruity, and bold; we enjoy creating cocktails with this immensely but it is fantastic on the rocks too!
Sequoia's Nama Junmai Ginjo uses 60% polished organic m205 Calrose grown by Mike VanDyke. Sequoia Sake takes special pride in controlling the rice from seed to final product. Myrick says, "The key is single-source, single-origin organic rice."
This easy-drinking fruity, tart sake finishes with notes of pear and tangerine. It's a true delight and ideal for introducing people to sake. A perfect pairing with lighter flavors like sauteed greens and seafood.
