Water, Wood & Wild Things: Making Umeboshi w. Hannah Kirshner

We are thrilled to host Hannah Kirshner, American food stylist and author of Water, Wood & Wild Things: Learning the Craft and Cultivation in a Japanese Mountain Town, for a super special, intimate event at Umami Mart. Kirshner will be discussing her experiences in the mountains of Ishikawa, including working at Matsuura Shuzo over the winter sake brewing season – and we're especially thrilled that she will be demonstrating how to make umeboshi, a recipe that is featured in the Wild Things section of her book.
