Sake and Shochu Gumi

Our resident honjozo queen, Kayoko approves this message: this sake is easy, clean, and refreshing, just as a honjozo should be. Swimmingly easy to drink, this sake tastes like deliciously clean water. Aromas of peach, hazelnut, and rice greet you. Light rice flavors cover the palette and leave you just as soon as it appears.

The word kiri means fog and tou means attack in Japanese. The brewery is based in a rural area in Southern Nagano which is surrounded by dense layers of fog (think Mendocino thick).
