Sake and Shochu Gumi

Inspired by Irish whiskey production and influenced by a long history of traditional shochu distillation, Kanosuke’s Hioki Pot Still Whisky is distilled at their sister distillery, Hioki Distillery, using stainless steel pot stills. Located just five minutes inland from Kanosuke Distillery and home to Komasa Jyozo’s Komasa Satsuma Gin, Hioki Distillery has been in operation since 1883 and received its license to distill grain whisky in 2020. As if a Japanese whisky studied abroad in Ireland, then vacationed in America with its  notes of brandied cherries, orange marmalade, ceylon cinnamon, and vanilla.
