This complex fall release sake will delight fans of fruity and earthy sake alike. Hiyaoroshi sakes are pressed in the spring and aged through the summer, and this sake has developed pleasing aromatics of melon and cooked banana as it has matured. Hiyaoroshi also tend to have notes of umami and nuttiness to pair with fall flavors that incorporate nuts, and game meats. While you can enjoy this sake at room temperature, we recommend it warm.
Before Honke Matsuura was a sake brewery, it was run by a group of pirates in 1804! Thankfully for all sake lovers worldwide, the group pivoted to brewing in Naruto City in Tokushima Prefecture (hence the product name "Narutotai" [-tai meaning sea bream, a famous fish in the city]).
