This whisky is the first of its kind, aged in Japanese cedar barrels in Omiwa, one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan. The cedar wood gives the whisky lovely notes of temple incense, allspice, and pipe tobacco. On the palate we get orange peel, Ceylon cinnamon, milk chocolate and gingerbread, all wrapped up in a malt backbone and a wisp of bacon-like smoke to tie a bow on it. Pick up a bottle of this unique expression while it lasts!
