Pungent and grassy, shiso belongs to the mint family and imparts a unique combination of flavors such as basil, spearmint, cinnamon, and subtle anise. Often used as a garnish or muddling component in cocktails, this perennial plant can sometimes be inconvenient to source, inconsistent in flavor, and has a limited shelf life. In bitters form, this distinct flavor component knows none of those limitations. While shelf stable, refrigeration is recommended after opening to ensure optimal potency.

The Japanese Bitters is the World's first bitters produced in Japan using all natural ingredients. Yuki Yamazaki, the former brand ambassador for Bobby's Gin, studied at Herman Jansen Distillery in the Netherlands to perfect his craft. After returning to Japan he gained his brewing license and was able to complete his bitters recipe within two years.
