The 12th release of the "24 Seasons" series from Akkeshi Distillery, Hakuro "Glistening White Dew". Named after the time of year when the summer heat wanes, the silver grass has grown long enough to catch the autumn breeze, and dew forms in the dawn.

All poetry aside, this single malt is great! Fruit, spice, smoke, and complexity. We get notes of stone fruit, bubblegum, iodine and bbq smoke on the nose. On the palatte, sandalwood and incense from the mizunara barrel aging, baked goods, sassafras, licorice, and bittersweet chocolate. Make this your fall winter sipper while it lasts!
