Konteki Pearls of Simplicity Junmai Daiginjo Sake (BTL 720ml)

Konteki calls this one the "epitome of purity." Rooted in Zen Buddhist ideals and wabi-sabi, the idea that beauty should be understated, Pearls of Simplicity is more subtle and nuanced than most highly aromatic junmai daiginjos, and that restraint is its charm. Higashiyama Shuzo brews it in Kyoto, the birthplace of sake, with Yamada Nishiki grown by farmer Masayasu Tanaka. It's made like Konteki's Tears of Dawn, with the same ingredients but no added distilled alcohol.

Aromas of white flower, Asian pear, and steamed rice lead to an elegant finish with rich minerality and a rice texture. Lovely for sipping on its own, or pair it with scallops, pork, and light meats.
