The 12th release of the "24 Seasons" series from Akkeshi Distillery, Hakuro "Glistening White Dew". Named after the time of year when the summer heat wanes, the silver grass has grown long enough to catch the autumn breeze, and dew forms in the dawn.

All poetry aside, this single malt is great! Aged 3 years in a mix of ex-Bourbon, Mizunara from Hokkaido and red wine casks! Fruit, spice, smoke, and complexity. We get notes of stone fruit, bubblegum, iodine and bbq smoke on the nose. On the palate, sandalwood and incense from the Mizunara barrel , baked goods, sassafras, licorice, and bittersweet chocolate. Make this your fall winter sipper while it lasts!
