Meet the Maker: Seiichi Fukano of Fukano Distillery
This is a first-come, first-served event!
We are excited to welcome Mr. Seiichi Fukano of Kumamoto's Fukano Distillery! Yoko and Kayoko visited the distillery over a decade ago and met Seiichi-san's mother, Chizuru Fukano, who was then the managing director of the distillery. Chizuru-san was instrumental in transforming Fukano from a small rice shochu distillery to an internationally recognized maker of Japanese whisky!
Seiichi-san has taken the torch from Chizuru-san and continues to create bright and complex whiskies made with rice. Please join us for a flight of Fukano's new bottlings and cocktails–plus, a shochu from the distillery!
