This bottle helped start the Japanese whisky craze after being named "Best Whisky of the Year" in 2013. Aged up 12 years in a mix of ex-Bourbon, Spanish sherry, and Mizunara casks. Notes of maple, pineapple, and spice, make Yamazaki 12 a spectacular and elegant single malt. Yamazaki is Suntory's first distillery, located outside Kyoto at the foot of Mt. Tennozan. 

Suntory is Japan's oldest whisky distillery, with a nearly 100 year legacy. Founded by Shinjiro Torii, lovingly refered to as Uncle Tory, Suntory whiskies are 100% made from one of their three distilleries in Japan.
