Job Schedule: Wednesday/ Friday/ Sunday (closing shift), 12-16 hours per week, plus availability to cover shifts

Position Overview
We are seeking an extroverted, friendly store manager who is exceptionally warm, creative and hard-working. This person can think quickly on their feet, is resourceful, super communicative, all while being committed to our mission of delivering the best quality with the highest level of hospitality. Because we're committed to creating a workplace people love, we're looking for a skilled, self-starting sales person. The store manager leads a team of shop associates. This is a part-time, in-person position (not remote).
Key Duties (May include, but are not limited to):
● Ensure that customers feel cared for – they are greeted, assisted and get their questions answered
● Ensure that the shop is clean, well-organized, properly stocked, and that products are attractively displayed
● Create a culture of trust and hard work where no problem is unsolvable and people feel proud every day of what they've accomplished
● Make sure production tasks like gift set assembly and sake bottle labeling are assigned to maximize efficiency and drive sales
● Ensure that inventory in all back storage areas is well organized
● Keep track of inventory to ensure shop is properly stocked, including coordinating with importers and distributors for sake, shochu, and barware when necessary
● Maintain, and improve systems to ensure that workflow is smooth and efficient
● Report critical issues to Owners
● Facilite planned pop-ups, sake tastings, and in-store events as needed
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
● Experience in retail sales
● Excellent communication skills

● Availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays and adhere to a blackout period from the day after Thanksgiving until New Year's Day
● Must be 21 years of age or older, as this position involves the sale of alcoholic beverages
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Passion for Japanese food, drink, and culture required; sake, shochu, or beverage industry experience
preferred
Additional Physical Requirements
● Occasionally requires the ability to move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials
● Able to climb stairs
● Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
● Must be able to stand for 8+ hours
