Japanese Barware

These sturdy, weighty mugs have a roomy, angled handle for a comfortable grip to support its large capacity of over 12 ounces. Glazed with playful colors, while featuring an earthy clay base, there’s a Chips mug that will please every person in your office or household.

Looks can be deceiving: these mugs looks like they are made from pottery, but they are actually made out of white porcelain. White porcelain is made from fine-grained white clay, while pottery is made from coarse grains of clay. In addition to being more durable, white porcelain is more flexible and versatile when creating detailed shapes and precise curves.

Each mug is created on a potter's wheel, while the handles are molded by pressure casting. Speaking of the handle, the designers of the Chips mugs went through thousands of prototypes to achieve a shape that is optimal both in comfort and ease of grip.

Chips mugs are lead-free, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe.
