This is the first of Mars Hombo's new whisky series released in June 2022! A blend of juice from Mars Hombo and Tsunuki distilleries, aged exclusively on Yakushima Island, known for its wildlife and cedar forests. Many whiskies are aged in colder climates like Scotland and Hokkaido, but Mars is putting into practice what the rum industry has known for years – warm climate equals faster aging. This whisky has notes of sandalwood, pineapple skin, apricot, and cocoa powder. A medium dry finish that makes you want come back for more.

Mars Hombo Distillery has the highest altitude of all the distilleries in Japan. Situated in Nagano (the Japanese Alps) at an elevation of over 2600 feet, the temperature drops to 5°F. With fresh, ample snowfall, Mars Shinshu Distillery is situated in an ideal place for whisky production.
