Sequoia Hon Mirin (BTL 500ml)

This is a true hon mirin from our local sake amigos at Sequoia Sake in San Francisco. Made in a super limited run, Umami Mart is the only retailer selling this mirin (the rest went to Michelin star restaurants in the area). Chefs herald this mirin for its ability to add umami and balance, reduce cleanly for a beautiful glossy glaze, and its versatility for use in broths, sauces, and desserts.

It is very challenging to find true hon mirin – one that has no sulfites, no corn syrup, no salt and no added alcohol. The ingredients for this sake are just junmai genshu sake, mochi rice, koji and umami rice essence.
