Sake and Shochu Gumi

Arashio salt is harvested from the Suruga Bay surrounding Shizuoka City, using the area's dry wind and strong sunshine to create a light and crisp salt. Shizuoka has a long history of cultivating arashio salt, which has been used throughout Japan since the 1600s.

This is a great salt for baking and cooking – in sauces, marinades, and sprinkled onto grilled meats.
