As seen on Shochu'sday!

One of the few shochus produced in the United States happens to be made right down the street in Alameda, California! Using local sake kasu (lees) from Takara Shuzo in Berkeley, neutral spirit, and then single-distilled in a pot still, this konwa shochu was created for Ramen Shop and bottled at 40% ABV. It's a great shochu for cocktails or highballs. Enjoy an aroma full of cashews and candy cap, while enjoying the pronounced acidity on the palate.

Master Distiller Lance Winters did the art direction for the label; the illustration is by artist Lauren Asta. The design is a mash-up of the California state flag and the national flag of Japan. The kanji below the bear translates as “Ramen Shop Shochu,” and the bear is saying “angry bear sound.”
