Sake and Shochu Gumi

Last year we hosted a Hannukah party with Erin of The Forest Feast, and her husband Rabbi Jon, in our first year of business in Oakland. It was a peaceful evening, and the first time I ever lit a menorah! The event was meaningful to us and we decided to make it an annual event. It's one of the only times of the year that we'll diverge from Japan-related events, so consider it extra special.

This year, the theme is Latkes + Lager. We'll have latkes (will Erin make them from scratch?!?!) and beer by Schmaltz Brewing, just like last year. But this time, the event will be held at our San Francisco pop-up shop inside The Perish Trust -- the first event held in our new space! We'll be lighting the menorah and getting cozy, so please join us on the last day of Hannukah.

WHAT: Light the menorah with us on the last day of Hannukah! We'll have latkes and lager!

WHEN: Wednesday 12/4, 6-8pm

WHERE: 728 Divisadero Street (btwn Grove + Fulton), San Francisco, CA

Meanwhile, tomorrow is not only Thanksgiving, but it's the first day of Hannukah! Make your own menorah out of citrus, like Erin did for The Forest Feast.

Happy holidays, everyone! See you on Wednesday in SF!
