  • Welcome to the site Jackie! I like the color in your manga. I remember the coffee shops in Japan. It was hard to concentrate and yes, there is A LOT of smoke.

  • Great job, Jackie! I love hanging out in cafes too, writing or answering mails and observing life around me while hiding behind my laptop.

However here in Copenhagen, some cafes have started to ban people bringing their computers or mobiles. They want social behavoir and conversation in their cafe, not small cubicles or people taking up seats all day and just paying for one coffee. Which I kind of see the point in – it’s bad business.
But a good mix is cool, I guess.

Looking forward to the next episode of Long Beach Seikatsu.

  • Thank you Umamimart guys!!
Anders, I’m surprised to hear about your story about cafes in Copenhagen. Banning bringing own mobile and laptop sounds like a classroom! I have complaint about even cafes ban the customers using power plugs or wifi is not free in Japan. It is same as the cafe which doesn’t have a restroom. My professor said that cafes are selling their space not only a cup of coffee.

I’m totally exciting to draw my Long Beach Seikatsu.
