We are so excited to announce our first cocktail class collaboration with PlumpJack Wine & Spirits! PlumpJack is a liquor and wine shop in Noe Valley and the Marina neighborhood in San Francisco, as well as a winery in Napa (founded by Gavin Newsom, hello!). We've teamed up with the good folks over at Forgery Bar, a beautiful new bar in the Soma to bring you an afternoon of Cocktail-Making 101 -- with a focus on how to stir cocktails!

Join us as Josh Thinnes of PlumpJack takes us through a history lesson of the stirred drink, and answers time honored questions like, "Why stirred, and not shaken," and "James Bond preferred his Martini shaken, was he wrong?" (Sorry guys, the answer is YES, he was wrong). Following this, pro bartender and Forgery Partner/ General Manager Ken Luciano will teach us how to stir three different classic cocktails and throw in some tips of the trade. And of course, we will need to taste test all the cocktails we make!

The bonus? You get to take all the tools you use home with you! This set will include:
1 Diamond Cut Mixing Glass
1 Julep Strainer
1 Trident Barspoon
1 Jigger with measurement lines

This is going to be a rad event. We are thrilled to be partnering with PlumpJack and Forgery on an afternoon of proper cocktail education, using Umami Mart bar tools. Seats at the bar are very limited so buy your ticket now!
