Upcoming Event: Umami Mart SF Launch Party

The Bay Area has been so good to us. First, we opened our flagship store in Oakland in 2012 -- to our surprise, people were into our Japanese kitchen and barware shop! Then, back in November, we opened up as a pop-up shop inside The Perish Trust, in San Francisco. Yoko and I anxiously opened our doors, not knowing how the BIG CITAY would respond to Umami Mart on their turf. Well, the community has spoken, and they want us to stay! Yay! And our lovely, generous host, The Perish Trust, has given us the keys to stick around for the rest of the year. Holla! So don't call us a pop-up any more! We're here to stay, SF. Can you dig it?!? To celebrate, we're throwing a blowout party with our neighbors in April. In pure Umami Mart style, there will be good eats, drinking and dancing! Meow.
