Upcoming Event: Matsuri Festival (It's Our Birthday!)

August is our birthday month! It's been one year since we opened our doors at 815 Broadway in Oakland, and indeed it's been an enriching, exhilarating year. Thank you everyone for supporting our vision as America's premier Japanese bar and kitchenware shop! We could not have come this far without all of you. On Saturday 8/24, we'll be taking over the sidewalk for our first ever Matsuri Festival. Obon season is upon us, a time in Japan to kick back with beers, friends and awesome street food. Over here in California, we've invited our friends from all over the Bay Area to come help us throw an explosive party complete with TAIKO DRUMS!!! And lots of food, drinks, treats and games!
